Joy Innis and Adrienne Shannon have performed throughout Canada, in Europe, the United States, Israel, Korea and the Ukraine.  Appearances with major Canadian orchestras include the Toronto Symphony, National Arts Center Orchestra, Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Calgary Philharmonic, Edmonton and Victoria Symphonies, the Kingston Symphony, and the Canadian premier of the Czerny Concerto for Four Hands with the Mainly Mozart Orchestra in Toronto.  Their public recitals and studio recordings have been broadcast on CBC’s Arts National, PBS, RIAS Berlin and BBC.

PALENAI Piano Duo has appeared at national and international festivals and conferences.  In 1999, the SESOL Music Research Society presented the duo in concerts and workshops at Dongduk University in Seoul and Sosan.  The duo represented Canada in 2003 at the First International Piano Duo Festival held in various cities throughout Israel.  The next year PALENAI participated in Odessa Dialogues Piano Duo Festival in the Ukraine.  In May 2005, PALENAI performed at the International Piano Duo Festival in Bad Herrenalb, Germany.  Canadian festivals where the duo has performed include the Music & Sound Concert Series at the Banff Center, the Shawnigan Lake Festival, Hornby Island Festival, Pacific Rim Summer Festival, Courtenay Youth Music Center, and Festival on the St. Lawrence.

As well as performing in major concerts halls, the duo has been sponsored by the Provincial Arts Councils of Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia to tour to remote northern regions of Canada giving concerts, master classes and teaching workshops.  In 1991, they initiated the Artists in Transit program through the Saskatchewan Lotteries and Saskatchewan Music Festivals Association.
